Single: "Moscow Mule"
This is my take on progressive/disco house. I am still getting a hand of house. House is not a simple genre to compose. Will master it as I learn working with house music. It's different from Trance. Very different. And even in this track you will hear trance influence. But that's me and that's the genre which I love to write. However definitely track sounds groovy, upbeat and energetic, just as what disco house should sound like. However in a mix with influence from trance genre, I would call it the Progressive Disco House genre. The name itself comes from my roots. I am of Russian descent. When started working on this track I wanted to make a melody with a Russian touch. And I definitely succeeded. The main melody in the break sounds very folk Russian. Will try similar approach in my future tracks as well. Track came out very interesting and listening to it on fresh ears before releasing, made me move to the beat. Hopefully listening to it will cause the same effect on you.
Megadance feat. Max Van Berg
Single "Dysphoria" is produced in collaboration with Max Van Berg. This track has started when my friend Max Van Berg posted a video on Facebook of him playing a melody on the piano that he has composed with a statement: “Something I put together that describes the current mood.” Today, on April 3rd, 2020, when I am writing this, Coronavirus took away over 50000 people’s lives worldwide. …And in some regions pandemic is just starting. Over 1000000 people are already infected with only 200000 people recovered. And many governments were caught at lying about real casualty numbers. It is insane what is going on. The mood that he tried to pass through his music, is what we all feel right now when reading daily news and learning that thousands more people die every day. It really is a sad and terrible moment in modern human history. Max’s composition truly touched me deep in my heart. It had a true meaning and purpose. I decided to make it into a track, which Max himself called the: “Dysphoria”. Governments for the most part are being reactive and not listening to people asking to treat pandemic proactively. Dysphoria is the state of dissatisfaction, anxiety, restlessness, or fidgeting. Hopefully it will pass soon. This track is in the name of all people whose life became a victim to the pandemic, mostly due to world's reactiveness and unpreparedness to a problem. We have just proved ourselves once again that we, the humans are truly helpless in front of nature.
This track was a result of one evening when we came back home after going out for a drink with my wife. She went to sleep and I couldn't. I was a bit drunk if you ask me and since I had nothing else to do, I put together a sequence of chords just playing around while waiting until my head stopped spinning. Next morning when I listened to it, I actually loved it and decided to finish the track. So this is it, the consequence of my intoxicated by alcohol mind. Since my mind were a bit uplifted, the Uplifting Trance composition came out of them, which will spin your mind to the moon and back, many times over.
Megadance feat. DJ Koshpa
Single "Equilibrium" is produced in collaboration with DJ Koshpa. Koshpa is the friend of mine who I've known for ages. I remember when I was just starting with electronic music and didn't even know much about equipment at all. Koshpa had built his own studio at home with bunch of synths such as Korg Triton, Novation Supernova, Access Virus and bunch of more, racks and keyboards. Back then, plugins didn't exist yet, and you had to purchase the hardware to get good quality synth sounds. Software was there already, just sounded too computerish. Today it all changed completely, plugins dominate today. So yeah, we did make one more track long time ago, which is lost, I wish I could recover it, but unfortunately can't. This track however is written in collaboration with Koshpa as well. This is our second track ever. Definitely will write more in the future, for now, enjoy the Equilibrium. This track is a deep house instrumental in nature. Very different from the rest of my compositions. And that's what the blend of Megadance with Koshpa produced. Chill and melodic, easy to listen deep house.
SINGLE: "Battle Angel"
Megadance & Stephen Jester
Single "Battle Angel" is produced in collaboration with long time friend and a great musician Stephen Jester. Since Stephen comes from Heavy Metal background, we tried to keep the metal feel in it, yet also mix his guitar parts with some EDM. What came out is the next composition in a Rock'n Rave genre. And this is the first Rock'n Rave track, composed by another musician besides Megadance. Track is energetic and will rock your mind out for sure. Enjoy it, and definitely pass it on to all your friends. We hope you like this track. Enjoy it and check back for the next track in year 2020. Battle Angel wraps up 2019. However 2020 will have many more new tracks. Happy New Years to you all! Wish you the sea of love and respect, ocean of health and universe of happiness! And don't forget to Rock'n Rave in 2020! You might not yet realize, but you need Rock'n Rave and definitely Rock'n Rave needs you!
SINGLE: "Eastern Sands"
Middle Eastern music always seemed almost magical to me, something that you would expect to hear in films about ancient civilizations of human kind. I love history and at the same time I am a huge fan of Sci-Fi. This composition has a touch of both. I tried to mix a taste of the future and the past in this composition. I hope I succeeded. Enjoy!
This track was my first successful attempt at composing in the genre of the Uplifting Trance. Uplifting Trance is not a simple genre to work with, because it involves the use of a lot of reverb. The most important with reverb is not to over do it. You can't use too much of it. It has to be just the right amount added to the synths to gain the ambience needed to create that spacy feel to the music. However too much of reverb, creates a holy noisy mess. So it took me some time to get hand of it, and I am still improving. Practice, definitely trains ears better. For now, enjoy Antigravity. I will definitely compose more Uplifting Trance compositions in the future. It's one of my favorite genres.
